Professionally developed from MotoGP innovation, the Alpinestars Tech-Air 10 V2 Race Airbag System is Alpinestars’ most advanced motorcycle airbag for RACING/SPORT riding. It features quick-swap inflators for fast re-arming between rides to minimise downtime, an onboard LED status display, and an at-a-glance system and mode checks for quick pit-lane verification. One-step on/off makes pre-session setup effortless. Motion analysis triggers 40 ms deployment for rapid impact protection with an algorithm trained on millions of kilometres and thousands of crashes for precise, reliable activation. It has a long-life battery + USB-C fast charge with up to 24 hours of runtime; about 1 hour of charging gives up to 6 hours of use. Get wireless updates, MyRide trip data, and real-time system status on your phone with the Bluetooth-connected Tech-Air App. It offers dual riding modes: RACE engages above 60 km/h after 10 seconds; STREET broadens coverage for everyday use. It also boasts a swappable, hand-washable base layer that maintains hygiene and convenience between sessions, and it is low weight at 2.3kg. It comes with a control unit with an integrated USB-C charging interface; a magnetic USB-C cable and charger are supplied. The airbag chassis has internal air channels and a perforated back zone for ventilation. A snap-button interface attaches the Tech-Air 10 V2 Race Airbag System to the Tech-Air 10 Race System Base Layer. It also features a dual-argon inflator layout with user-replaceable gas inflators, and an electronic control unit with 12 integrated sensors (3 tri-axial accelerometers and 1 tri-axial gyroscope). It offers coverage to the shoulders, chest, full back, and hips. The airbag impact attenuation reduces transmitted force by up to 95% compared to a passive protector, equivalent to 18 back protectors. A full service (airbag and gas inflator replacement) is required after the third deployment or if damage is detected. It is CE Level 2 certified for chest and back. The airbag is certified for three deployments; after each deployment, an integrity test must be performed. If the test is passed, the service will involve only replacing the gas inflators. Due to regulations for transport of dangerous goods by air (IATA) and road (ADR), consumers are not permitted to ship Tech-Air products themselves for return or servicing. In the event of a return or service request, you must therefore deliver the goods in person to one of our Tech-Air Hubs.
